"I can't speak to the coverage of State Farm or experience with this agency as I never got past the sales process. I was considering switching to a new auto insurance after 23 years with Geico, mostly to see if I could get a better deal elsewhere. My partner has State Farm and has had an excellent experience with them. That's not my issue.

My issue is I requested a quote from multiple insurance companies and then went to Geico to see if they could bring my rates down without sacrificing coverage (they did). When I got a call from Teri at this agency, I told her as such. I was then asked if that included Life Insurance. I told her no, I would not want life insurance.

Rather than listening to me, I was given a response of "Oh why not? Who is going to take care of you when something happens?" The immediate, cheap fear-mongering sales tatic was made me angry enough to end the call.

Just want to give a heads up to anyone considering working with them that you may be on the other end of this kind of sales tactic, which is annoyingly preying on people's fears. Not the kind of thing I want to hear from my insurance agency, so I wanted to share my experience in case others would similarly be enraged by this guilt-ridden sales pitch."
